Chimeras are African Violets that have two sets of DNA. They cannot be reproduced by leaf.

 

In order to ensure the best chance of true bloom, I generally only sell these violets if they have already bloomed or are currently blooming. Sometimes I will sell ones that have not bloomed if they were produced by a sucker, since these are very likely to be true. However, there is always a risk in purchasing one that has not yet bloomed. They are higher priced due to the difficulty to reproduce them.
